Founded in 1998 and approved by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, this is the first full-time private university to open in southern Jiangsu. The College has seven departments, including the School of Automotive Engineering and Management, the College of New England, the School of Architectural Engineering and Art Design, the School of Business, the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Department of Tourism Management, and the College of Continuing Education. During the past 20 years, it has gradually become known among Jiangsu universities as a brand of uniquely characterized education that makes for remarkable advancements in the automobile, architecture, aviation, accounting and electromechanical industries.
